Invisible Batt Pin Throwing Batts
Product Details
- The Invisible Batt Pin Throwing Batt has been designed for pottery wheels with batt pin bolts in the wheelhead. They come with batt pin bolt holes drilled to fit over your batt pin bolts. However, they are only drilled half way through the batt – meaning that the bolt is ‘hidden’. This means you don’t get batt pin bolt marks in the base of your pottery. With this design of Batt you can throw on the whole area of the Batt and achieve a totally flat smooth base with NO Batt pin marks.
- These Throwing Batts are manufactured using our 9mm Premium MDF material. This material has superior water and warp resistance quality, and is super smooth.

- We precision drill one slotted hole, and one round hole (as shown on the photos). This will ensure a great fit on your wheel, and accommodates any slight variations in measurements. The hole is machined only part way through to give the flat surface on the top side of the Batt.
Bespoke Products
- If you don’t see your size listed, select ‘Bespoke Size Requested’ and then enter your own measurements in the ‘Bespoke Design’ box. Please select from the drop down box the closest bigger size to what you require. Eg: If you need a 340 mm you would need to Select 350 mm from the drop down box. We will then make you something that is custom-fit to your wheel measurements. The Maximum size for bespoke batts is 350 mm, if you require a batt larger than 350 mm please contact us.
How to look after this product:
- Please do not leave soaking in water or wash under running water. Wood is a natural product and this could cause swelling or warping.
- To clean just wipe with a damp sponge to remove any clay.
- Remove the batts from wheel when not in use.
- Dry vertically.
- Once completely dry, can be stacked on top of each other.
- Do not use metal scourers or screwdrivers on these batts as this can damage the protective laminate layer, and cause damage to your batt.
