What Happens After You Place an Order?
You’ve found what you need, added it to your basket, and placed your order.
Now you’re waiting… and the natural question is:
What’s actually happening behind the scenes?
This is a clear, step-by-step walkthrough so you know exactly what’s going on at each stage, what communication you’ll receive, and why the process works the way it does.
1. Placing your order
You browse the website, add your items to the basket, and head to checkout.
At this point you’ll:
- Select your shipping option
- Enter your name, address, email and phone number
- Choose your payment method
Payment options:
- Card (via our payment gateway)
- PayPal
- Direct bank transfer
Why we ask for your details:
- We use them to confirm your order and keep you updated
- The courier may use them to contact you about delivery
- For international orders, they may be used to manage duties or taxes
It’s all about making sure your order gets to you without delays or confusion.
2. Order confirmation email
As soon as your order is placed, you’ll receive an order confirmation email.
This includes:
- Your order number
- A full list of the items you’ve ordered
What to do at this stage:
Take a minute to check it.
- Are the items correct?
- Is the delivery address right?
If anything isn’t right, contact us straight away. It’s much easier to fix at this stage than later on.
3. Your order enters our workshop
Once your order is confirmed, it is added to our system and goes into the workshop manufacturing process.
From here, one of two things happens:
- If the item is already made and on the shelf → it goes straight to picking
- If not → it goes into production
This is the important part.
We don’t mass-produce our products using automated machines.
The majority of what we supply is handmade and handcrafted by our team.
That means:
- Each item is made by a person, not a production line
- There is care, attention, and experience behind every piece
- The focus is on function, durability, and doing the job properly
The photograph below shows the actual workshop where the magic happens. The process runs from right to left. The CNC machine cuts the items out, they are then finished in the middle area, picked and QC’s to left and then packed on the far left of the photograph.

Why this matters to you:
You’re not just buying a product — you’re buying something that’s been made with a clear purpose, by people who understand how it’s going to be used.
The trade-off is simple:
- Handcrafted = better control, better finish, better outcome
4. Picking and quality control
Once all items in your order are ready, the team moves to picking.
Your order is:
- Picked by hand
- Checked against what you ordered
It then goes through quality control.
We check:
- The correct items are included
- They match your order exactly
- They meet the standard we expect before anything leaves the workshop
If something isn’t right, it doesn’t go out. It gets corrected first.
5. Packing your order
After quality control, your order is packed.
This isn’t rushed.
- Items are packed securely
- We make sure they’re protected for the journey
- Everything is prepared so it arrives with you in the same condition it left us
6. Dispatch and tracking
Once packed, your order is booked into our shipping system.
At this point:
- A tracking number is created
- You receive a despatch email
This email confirms:
- Your order has been completed and sent
- The tracking details you need to follow it
From here, the courier takes over the physical delivery.
7. Delivery and courier communication
Depending on your location and the shipping option selected:
- The courier may contact you directly
- For international orders, you may be contacted about duties or taxes
Your tracking link will always give you the most accurate, up-to-date information.
