The Classic Russian Doll Batt System;
Our Classic Russian Doll Batt System is designed for pottery wheels WITH batt pins.
Includes the following items:
– 1 x Master Batt to fit your wheelhead
– 1 x 200mm – 150mm adaptor (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
– 1 x 200mm – 100mm adaptor (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
– 5 x 100mm Tile inserts (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
– 5 x 150mm Tile inserts (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
– 5 x 200mm Tile inserts (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
This system is manufactured using our Premium 12mm MDF. The diameter of the master batt is made to measure (according to your specifications). Batt Pins holes are added to your master batt at the pitch and diameter required. One hole is circular shaped, and one hole is slot shaped. This is so that your batt fits securely over your bolts, and is also easy to remove.
How to order
Measure your wheel and batt pin details before ordering (Do not use manufacturers guidelines to take measurements as they can sometimes differ from your own wheel). Please click here to view our measuring guide. Then, select the batt pin details that match your wheel from the first dropdown. If there isn’t an option that matches your batt pins, you can select “Bespoke Size Needed” and enter your custom measurements to ensure a perfect fit. After that, select the size closest to your wheelhead diameter from the second drop down box’s options. We offer many sizes, so you can pick a slight overlap or underlap if your exact wheelhead size isn’t listed.
When measuring your batt pin details, it is worth noting that one of the batt pin holes on the master batt is slightly elongated. This gives you a ± 1mm range around the distance between the batt pins. In practice, this means that if you measured between 253mm-255mm 254mm would be the best option to pick. This also applies for other examples, with 250mm being the best pick for 249mm-251mm distances.
How to look after me
Please do not leave soaking in water.
To clean just wipe with a damp sponge to remove any clay.
Remove the batts from wheel when not in use.
Do not stack these batts together when wet or damp, please dry vertically.
When dry, you may stack them horizontally.
Do not leave to dry near sources of direct heat (such as your kiln), this may cause warping.
Do not use metal scourers or screwdrivers on these batts.
