US Duty Changes – What You Need to Know
- What’s happening?
From 29 August, all orders shipped to the USA are subject to new import duty rules.
- What are the options?
- A flat $80 duty on all orders under $800 (even a $40 order).
- A 10% duty on the total order value (including shipping).
- What are we doing?
We are working hard to implement option 2 – the fairer 10% duty rate – so you don’t overpay.
- How will it work?
You’ll place your order as normal on our website. We will then contact you to confirm the duty amount (10% of your order total) and send payment details. Once the duty is paid we will then arrange pre-paid duty delivery to you.
- Will there be delays?
Likely, yes. US Customs will be processing far more duty-paid shipments, so clearance may take longer, this is obviously out of our control but we will do all we can to help. We’ll keep you updated throughout.
- What if there’s a problem?
If, for any reason, we cannot deliver your order under the new system, we will provide a full refund.

Shipping to the USA – Important Update on Import Duty (Effective 29 August 2025)
From 29 August 2025, due to the removal of the De Minimis exception, new US customs regulations mean all shipments into America are subject to duty charges. We want to be transparent with you about how this will affect your orders and what we are doing to make the process as smooth and fair as possible.
Two Possible Duty Options
- Flat $80 Duty: Any order under $800 in value is charged a fixed $80 duty, even if your order is worth much less.
- 10% Duty on Order Value: Duty charged at 10% of the order total (including shipping).
We believe the 10% duty is the fairest and most cost-effective solution for our customers. We are therefore working towards implementing this option for all orders shipped to the USA.
How It Will Work
- You will place your order on our website as usual.
- After receiving your order, we will calculate the duty (10% of the order total including shipping).
- We will contact you to confirm the duty charge and arrange for you make payment.
- Once your order is ready for shipping and the duty payment mentioned above has been paid we will pack your order.
- Your parcel will then be shipped to you using a pre-duty, delivery duty paid (PDDP) service.
Possible Delays
As US Customs will be processing a large increase in duty-paid shipments, we expect there may be some delays during clearance. We will communicate with you throughout the process to keep you updated on timings.
Refunds if Needed
In the unlikely event that we are unable to ship your order due to the new regulations, we will issue a full refund.
