This is a Mini version of our Over-the-Wheel Russian Doll Batt System. It's a perfect two-in-one size system for smaller pottery wheelheads with NO batt pins.. Manufactured from our Premium 12mm MDF. Minimum size wheelhead required for this product is 225mm diameter. (If your wheel is larger than 300mm diameter, please click here to check out our full size version instead).
The Mini Over-the-Wheel Russian Doll System includes the following items:
- 1 x Master Batt
- 1 x Stay-Put Batt Rug (Made from a synthetic non-animal sourced fabric)
- 1 x 150mm to 100mm adaptor (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
- 10 x 100mm Tile inserts (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
- 10 x 150mm Tile inserts (made in 6mm Premium MDF)
The diameter of the master batt is made-to-measure according to the size of your wheelhead. Always measure your own wheel before ordering, do not use the manufacturers booklet alone. When you receive your Over-the-Wheel Tile Batt System you will find that it is specifically designed to be slightly larger than your wheelhead measurement. This is essential in order for the master batt to go on and off easily. It is quite normal to have a millimetre or so of movement when you put your master batt on the wheel. When the wheel starts spinning, and the wet batt rug is in place, there will be no excess movement. This is part of the unique design.
To Use:
Soak the Batt Rug in water. Place flat and smooth on the wheel. Then place the master batt on top, and insert the tile inserts as required. Throw!

How to look after this product:
Do not leave batts soaking in water. This is likely to cause swelling or warping.
To clean just wipe with a damp sponge to remove any clay.
Remove the batts and rug from the wheel when not in use.
Do not stack these batts together when wet, dry vertically. Once dry they can be stacked.
Do not use metal scourers or screwdrivers on these batts as this can result in damage.

Excellent!
I finally got myself a Hartley and Noble bat system 😊 I got the mini over the wheel russian doll bat system from Hartley and Noble. I've used it over the last week and I am very happy with it. The bat really stays put with the wet bat rug and you can't feel the joints when throwing. Its brilliant! And customer service was the best 😊
