1. Refer a Friend (Customer Rewards)
This is the simplest and most commonly used option.
If you’re already a customer, you’ll have access to a personal referral link inside your account.
How it works
- Go to the rewards icon in the bottom left of your screen
- Click the rewards icon and you should see this type of information

- Copy your unique “refer a friend” link shown at the bottom of the image
- Share it with a potter who has never purchased from us before
When someone uses your link:
- They’re taken straight to our website through your referral
- They place an order of £80 ex VAT or more
What happens next
- You receive a £10 coupon added to your account
- They get 5% off their first order
Why we’ve done it this way
Potters trust other potters.
If someone recommends a tool or a product because they’ve used it, that carries more weight than anything we can say ourselves. This is our way of saying thank you and sharing the love !!
2. Studio & Community Discounts
This works slightly differently.
Instead of individuals referring friends, this is built around groups, studios, and communities.
How it works
- A studio, association, or pottery group partners with us here at Hartley & Noble
- We provide them with a unique discount code
- They share that code with their members
At checkout:
- You enter the code
- The agreed discount is applied to your order
Why this exists
Studios and communities are where a lot of learning happens.
If a group trusts us enough to recommend us as a supplier, we reflect that back with a benefit for their members.

3. Social Media & Affiliate Partners
This is for people actively promoting pottery content.
If you create content and have an audience, there’s an opportunity to work with us more formally.
How it works
- You apply to join the programme
- You’re given:
- A discount code for your audience
- A way to track the orders linked to your content
What you receive
- Your audience gets a discount
- You receive a financial reward based on the sales generated
Why we approach it this way
If you’re putting time into creating content, testing tools, and recommending products, that has real value.
This structure makes sure that:
